OMG!
3 posts! Hahaha. Maybe I'll just fulfill my post requirement for this entire month, so I'll be able to slack next month. Haha. jk. I wouldn't do that to you guys. But OMG! I just went to the Engineering Luau. Besides meeting two fellow BME majors (they're from India, yes, Asian nerds! Well, they might not be nerds, but they're definitely not white-washed. One of them has such a cool accent too. Yay!), I was reminded of IMSA. So flashback time. We were divided into 10 teams, and each team had to send up representatives for events. And we didn't know the events, so it was totally random. But one of the events was best pickup line, and I was thinking 'I should totally do this.' I would have totally won too. Well...maybe not. There were about 2 good ones, 2 sick ones, and the rest were pretty lame. So there was a math one. Obviously. Hahahaha. About me being sin^2 and you being cos^2 and together us being 1. Haha. Then I was reminded of Singled Out. And that other trig joke. What was it again? I think it was 'can I get a sign baby cuz I'd like to get tangent to those curves.' I should have totally gone up, but I wasn't sure what was going on cuz one of the events was a danceoff and I was like 'no way am I going up there.' Hahaha. But I should've! I would've shown them the IMSA style pickup lines. Oh yeah. And I don't think many people up here watch anime. How horrible is that! So far I've only met one other girl who even knows about it. But she's mostly a manga reader, so that's different. But my god. How hard is it to find at least some partially nerdy people. Some of the guys are like that, but I have not met any girls like that so far! They're all like the CA ones I described earlier. I keep looking, but I haven't found one yet! I'm hoping to find one in one of my classes or something. Argh. I mean I can get along with these girls and everything, but part of me just wants to let loose my inner nerd or something. Ok. Well, I'm not as nerdy as say...YIFAN. Hahaha. But I still can appreciate the good math joke or discussion about giardia lamblia and all that other random patho junk. And I'm just worried I'm gonna have to repress that part of myself if I want to be able to carry on normal conversations with people.
Oh yeah. Out of the hundreds of engineers at the luau, I was able to win a shirt. Yay! Maybe I'm lucky. Except I'm not that lucky, cuz I didn't manage to win the 100 dollars.
