fandom -- or possibly lj, it's hard to tell some days -- ate my brain.

Training a couple of very nice ladies from our Japanese office, and we got to talking after about their excellent English, and the difficulties of learning Japanese, which segued, not unnaturally onto manga, and I very, *very* nearly finished the sentence which was going to be about yaoi, and accidentally mentioned Fake, and, ho hum, here's hoping that's not what it's called in Japanese.

I built a blog and a wiki in our shiny shiny corporate colours. And then I went home and walked past a bag shop and thought, ooh, bags; no, I don't need any more bags, bags are bad, bad and wrong -- ooh shiny! I swear there was me sitting at the back of my head listening to myself, and going, 'the *fuck*? Do you even *hear* yourself?'. I didn't buy anything though, because there were trains. I hate trains. They are currently shit. I left half an hour early this morning, for a train that *should* get me into work an hour early. I arrived with one minute to spare. One. Cold, cold, fucking cold.

It's been like this all this week, all last week. But last week had less fog. The freezing fog has been... interesting. The heating's on full blast and *still* I wake up cold. I should break out the second duvet. The beeb says that with wind chill it should feel between -5 and -10 across England by the end of the week. Probably won't have any snow settle -- I'd almost rather we did, as I could work from home and refuse to leave the flat. Ever again. Get the groceries delivered, sign up to the Amazon rental thing, and never go anywhere again.

This weekend, I'm thinking of making Christmas cake. It's stir up Sunday anyway. Mmm. Christmas cake.

And payday tomorrow, so this weekend will be the last of the Christmas pressies that I can't get online. Or don't want to get online.

fandom, christmas, work
