well, chatting with jv and stan strike a chord and i realised tat indeed i have a smell fetish. i think i love perfume so much i started wearing one since secondary two. and i mean after thinking through the range of perfume i ever use. boy its really quite a feat. well here is my first perfume.
i bought tis becos i remember my tuition teacher aloysius uses it.. and i think it smells really nice at tat time. but i have to admit it is pretty musky and i guess it was really not tat wise for a secondary two school kid to smell like an ah pek. well i guess it is those phase where u were young u can't wait to be older, and when u get older u wish u were younger.
my second perfume. tis was the early 90s version of clinique happy, it has a very refreshing, ozonely smell.. very light and airy. u feel so much younger when u wear it.. it was quite pricy for a student. but i remember it was quite popular back then. ya the name is call new west under the aramis brand, and i dunno for watever reason tis perfume has been discontinued.
tis is the period of time where i developed a liking for aramis perfume. following new west i bought tuscany per uomo... i think tis is even worst than the first perfume i bought, becos it is extremely ah pek even for my age now.. and i remember i used tis the longest becos i only wear tis whenever there was a special occasion.
i bought tis after watching manhunt where it was the official perfume of tat particular year. it was a cheap and normal buy.
tis was pass down to me from my father... tis is the most hated perfuming i ever own. it is sickening choking and sharp.. i whiff of it will send u vomitting ure intestines out. the middle note is pretty ok.. but the top note sure make a lasting impression. i threw tat away before even finishing it. and please dun buy givenchy perfume, ever. i think they are one of the worst perfume makers.
versace days comes in after a while with aramis.
blue jeans; i love the round cylindrical tin container and i especially love the special design of the bottle. it looks like a beer bottle. with intricate lion head design on the bottle itself. i remember i love the bottle more than the smell ...
i bought tis at a sale.. versus for men is very lasting though.. but versace made perfumes tat are not very impressionable. and i recall my sis has the female version ...
and i guess after the whole aramis and versace phase i became less adventurous with perfume. and i bought this very safe perfume XS by paco rabanne. musky but light..
i am nvr caught smelling nothing or smelling bad... yup, and i also try out scents from marks and spencer.. they are much cheaper, i mean how much do i have for pocket money as a kid in school. havard from marks and spencer is decently refreshing. but it can come off as too musky when u splash it on too much...
if i am not wrong my last perfume before i move on to poly was escape for men and ck one. i remember i love escape so so much, (and in fact i still do now) it is fruity and ozonely, a replacement for my favourite new west perfume. in all i bought at least 3 bottle of escape throughout and currently still using it once in a while.. opps shld i say 4 bottles.. jerlyn and andrea bought me one on my birthday 2 years ago.
ck one was purchase together with my first escape perfume. i remember my sis and i bought it during a sale and it came with a ck one draw string bag. ck one is my day perfume now it is light and gentle.
i guess the first perfume i bought after i went to poly. i am sure everyone knows this perfume.. it was very very popular at tat time. and everyone and i mean almost everyone smells the same, especially among the ah bengs. and i recall tat this perfume actually smells suspiciously like davidoff coolwater.
i bought fahrenheit by christina dior after i went to poly.. very musky and it smells very very different from other perfumes.. some like it while some dun. well i guess i would buy it again when i reach 35.. it smells really good..
pleasures by estee lauder, not my favourite though but it was a gift from my secondary school classmates, we had a get together on my birthday and it was really sweet tat they bought me tis. i remember the reason they got an estee lauder perfume was becos one of my classmate was working with them tats why; got discount. and it comes with shower gel and stuffs.. and i layer the scents almost everyday i go to school. it smells very flowery though..which btw its the first men's perfume from estee lauder.
my sis bought me tis for my bday present.. at tat time i really love tis a lot. u smell particularly clean after using it. and tis is my first polo ralph perfume.
my third ck perfume eternity .though some people say it smells mature i kindda like it... and i remember tis perfume is pretty lasting i jst have to spray a little wee bit and it can last me almost half a day.
got this in poly.. i think if i am not wrong one of my female classmate was wearing tat as well when i first bought it.. it was so coincidental then.. but its weird why a girl would wanna apply a men's perfume. the smell is definitely not androgynous, its kindda musky despite the fact tat boss wanna tone it down by introducing the aqua version, well still not for a gal.
when jean paul gaultier first lauched tis perfume i was attracted to the bottle design; the male torso. anyway went on to buy a small minature version of it and love it.. lemale, nice package and lasting lingering smell..
my first experiment with bodyshop scents. not many people like activists. its pretty strong and sharp.with a rich and heavy musky note.
wenda and the gang bought me this on my birthday. love the grayish bottle design and love the smell, not a try too hard perfume. which btw is more of a night perfume than a morning one.
i am still trying to recall when and where i bought tis becos i really have no recollection.. my guess is my sis gave tat to me... i dunno why, but jst have tat impression.. tis one and armani mania are like the after poly and entered army phase of my life. ya this number is erm in my opinion very cheap smelling. i think u can find something of the same line in watson.
clinique happy. stan has it, jv has it, jon has it and seems like every aj must have one.. well apart from escape clinque happy is one of the most 'used' perfume. i have till date use up 3 bottles of it. fruity, citrusy, yummy.
buying tis was a real silly decision. wenda can get me discount off perfume since she work in metro then. and i wanted something diferent and wanted it to be different so badly. well this givenchy pour homme does smell different. but its so normal tat i grew tired of it after using it for a couple of time... and the funny thing is tat derwin has tis perfume as well and he dislike it too. like i say before, nvr nvr buy a givenchy perfume, they suck.
bought tis three together at the body shop sale. i particularly like scent of a men.. its very fruity and gummy, and i love the frosted bottle look.. i love kristna as well.. but the last note is quite yucky... arber seems to grow on me towards the end.. i realise i have a thing for musky lingering smell.. usually such smell leave me with a better impression. and not forget to mention its damn cheap only 9 bucks a bottle.. yeah i love sale items... why pay retail when u can get it at discounted price.
i nvr really own it, when derwin still has tat, i will use it once in a while when i shower at his place.. i remember stan has tat as well.. and i also remember saying it smells like air freshener when u take a whiff of it. but it can be smell quite spicy after u use it... not a big fan still..
again i dun really own one, got a couple of perfume samples from derwin's fren working in lanvin.. i kindda like it. its very refreshing and it clears ure mind when u smell it which infact i have a small bottle in my bag now. oxygene is the name.
derwin gave me tis when i almost ran out of perfume.. i didn't know l'occitane comes out with perfume, my impression of them ends with the fact tat they produce great moisturisers and soap and their products always have a country feel in it. but surprisingly some of the perfumes are pretty unique.
derwin's mum bought me this from the states. and i tot abercrombie and fitch only comes out with clothes and not perfume. its quite a pretty common smell. but the bottle is small enuff to carry around with me anytime.
i bought tis for derwin last year. both of us love tis alot.. and i have to say its one of the more worthwhile buys in recent years.. its pretty long lasting too.. so i think jv ure decision to own one is wise.. tis is a great buy. but pricy though.. but of cos i got my ways to get discount lah.
my current favourite... sis gave tis to me as a birthday present... i have a hard time choosing between the orginal version and the sports version.. but i figure out tis is more of an everyday perfume.. while the former is more of a dinner perfume.. but pricy pricy and of cos it is chanel.
finally the latest addition.. not mine again.. snoope a little at a time to use it.. ck one summer.. its refreshing and its smells like u jst step out of ure shower... and am thinking of maybe buying the eternity summer for men. i guess the summer series is pretty worth a try.
well currently i am stuck in 3 choices... shld i get a euphoria from ck or eternity summer from ck or tommy hilfiger 10.. tis are the 3 tat i am considering.
