long holidays....
its a nice long holiday for a real break and get away from work... infact i have been anticipating this long holiday for quite a while.. gee.good time really pass by very very quickly.. well i am glad the holidays are well spent...
saturday was a fun day, was invited to a outdoor lunch party for a deepavali celebration. and to my astonishment its a party held by the melwani family. i cannot believe derwin's mum actually knows one of the melwani family members. his mum actually get to know her through her daily exercise regime at the botanical garden. they are now like jogging buddies. interesting rite.. anyway the so call casual party turns out to be really really cool. its like a luncheon and kiss on the cheeks party for the modern maharajas. well to me its an honour to see the rich and famous gather together to come to the party of one of the richest indian family in singapore. well had a couple of drinks before we were 'forced' to leave becos of the terribly hot weather and also becos derwin is rushing to church.
yup written in the fine details was stated tat they actually have valet parking for the guests. cool.
so as not to appear to be too suaku. i only manage to take two pics.. and my hands are full with the drinks. so ta ta.. tats all u guys get to see...
well sunday was an uneventful day, spent my whole day watching smallville on dvd.. and taka and closing the next.. but manage to catch a movie on monday and surprise surprise. despite some mixed reviews i actually watched deathnote. it started off really exciting, but get draggy in the middle and i was pretty surprise at the end.. alrighty a brief summary of the show..a japanese student name light yagami who detest criminals big time and i mean really big time.. his life took a big change when he chance upon this death note book. from this monster whom refer himself as the death god, ryuk.(well he looks ridiculous and he eat apples, can u believe tat...anyway he is really the most ridiculous thing in the show). well light started a rampage to kill all the criminals by tapping into the police station's system to retrieve information of criminals tat either gotten themself off the hook or whom are still at large. well the death note works this way.. light must be able to know the name of the person and able to recognise his face so as not to kill the wrong person with the same name, he merely jst write down the person's name in the book and the person would die of a heart seizure within 40 seconds. and he is able to actually fiction the person's death and well how the person die will not be a fiction when it happens. in other words, he is pretty invincible.. but the police are trying to get him.. little did the head chief of the case whom happens
to be light's father realise tat his son is actually the master mind of this hate crime towards criminals. well a chain of investigation went on and another top rated detective of the world name L was rope in to follow on the case. and a battle of wit, skills, analytical tactics were exchanged. i was really impressive by the wit of light and L. they were strangely intelligent despite their juvenile looks. well it was quite worth a watch though a quarter through the show when i saw the creature looking thingy munching apples and nonchalantly floating around in the air. at tat point i really feel i wasted the money to watch a crap movie. but it was pretty exciting.
after movie, went to vivo city again.. well its really really really and i mean really crowded.. which explains why orchard is pretty quiet nowadays. well 85 per cent done up and only a handful of shops tat are not open... well went to Gap finally. i think its cheaper to buy Gap clothes in the states then in singapore. but manage to see some nice clothes though.
so much of my long weekend. wat are u guys up to in this holiday? gosh back to work the next day.. argfhhhhhhhhhhhh... i hate working.
