With this hand I-- Oh dear /shy

Went and saw Corpse Bride with Heather and Pam, it was... different o.o Not different in a bad way, but it was different then Nightmare Before Christmas. First off. The Music. The music, though good, should not be compared to NBC. I rather enjoyed the piano pieces and the jazzy-type song sang my the skeleton when introducing Emily, the one wear the groom first enters the dead world. Those 3 are definately probably my favorites.
Tone wise the movie was... hmm... happier then NBC. Again I'm comparing when I really shouldn't, but on the other hand many other people did and were displeased when I still enjoyed both movies. The tone that made NBC awesome was dark yet triumphant, where as CB was sad... yet peaceful somehow, if you have seen the movie you probably know what I'm talking about. Also since the advances in technology since NBC was released, I think it was in 95 but can't seem to really remember o.o I mean... it was much better by far.
One thing that irritated me with NBC was how it was clay, though artistic in its own realm... Its just... I couldn't stand how in some shots you could clearly see twists in the clay and stuff... just drove me nuts. Wear as in CB it was quite lovely and you didn't notice any of that nearly as much... If CB had come out before NBC, i.e. the times were different, I think CB would have been much shittier, the fact that they could make the bride ethereal in appearance was lovely.
Plot wise... eh... definately NBC > CB... I mean... I can't stand movies/books with romance... just wanna rip my eyes out, but I think it was okay cause the characters in CB were dead already ;p On the other hand, though I know there was a love story in NBC it was kind of backround in comparison to the whole taking over christmas thing, where-as in CB it was pretty much the focal point.
All in all, I would say spend you 8.50$ to go see CB, its good, but don't for a second thing that it will be a sequal to NBC. Chances are I should probably go see it again, I went and saw it after 2 days of no sleep and was a little uh... fuzzy. On a related topic, I saw a commercial for NBC the video game for xbox, cube and ps2 I believe. I'm not really interested in playing this at all, seems like a cheap ploy for Burton to gain some extra money, wonder whats going on with him /hmm

(There, ya happy now Madam Hefty Hooter?) ... oh yeah... and drink bleach /pif
