Oooh, interesting. I like the different moods they're all in, the way both Tony and John seem determined to deny the strength of the other's influence. And John's friendship with Stephen is nicely done. I really enjoy this.

Would you mind if I added this to the master list over at john_sessions? And I'm sure people would be delighted if you linked it in the comm as well.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. And feel free to add it over at john_sessions! I don't think I ever commented over there, but I lurked for a while, lapping up the fic and being a bit intimidated because I felt like I was dabbling in John-fanship. :)

I'm printing this out to read later 'cause I don't have time just now, and I'll probably end up commenting in a billion years, but I just thought I'd say that that quote from John is awesome in the highest.

Yours Looking-forwarding-to-readingly,
Xnth.

Hehe - I'm on tenterhooks to know your reaction now! I hope you like it. :)

Oh, it's wonderful. I love your portrayal as Stephen as the guy they both go to/are looking for when they need help. And I like all the little bits of stuff you snuck in relating to him - the liking of ABBA, for example. I liked how you wrote Richard too, especially seeing as we're all less familiar with how he acts.

John’s heart missed not one beat this time, but seemed to be sinking in his chest. Lower and lower, impacting his other organs: lungs, stomach, already fluid and fearful viscera. - brillant. Reminds of Raymond Chandler's writing, which in my opinion is the highest praise I can give.

Also, you deal with the more pornish aspects of fic writing well - quite a lot of people end up writing horrid blow-by-blow accounts that make me feel really, really ill. You manage to avoid that.

I do however agree with what Rhi said - I associate Colin with being Canadian, not Ryan, eventhough he is by birth. I doubt even Ryan'd call himself Canadian! But that's minor criticism.

*headdesk* Of course - heh. I think it's to do with the first WL? episode I ever paid attention to - can't remember which it was - where Clive introduced Ryan as Canadian, or something to do with being Canadian, and it stuck. I'll remember for next time, hopefully.

But anyways - thank you! Your comment made me feel all warm inside. ^^ I had virtually no idea how to write Richard, but ever since learning of his and Tony's double act in the 80's I couldn't not include him.

Oooh, I really enjoyed this! The amount of emotion that you were able to convey with this piece is simply amazing, and I really admire your writing style. I was totally immersed in the story, and when I finished reading it was like waking up after a long nap... I still fancy that I can hear the music.

Thanks for posting this, I loved every second of it.

Thank you so much for commenting - what you wrote left me all tingly inside. I know the feeling that's like waking up after finishing something really good, and it makes me all warm and fuzzy that I could do that for someone. Thank you!

Paul was a solid, lumpen spectre beside him.

I love that. The whole thing as well, but especially that line.

And yay, John/Tony slash! ^_^

Really? I remember posting, doing a quick read-though and then thinking 'dammit! why didn't I remove that line, it's ridiculous!' I'm especially glad you liked it, in that case! ^^

Hehe - I can't resist the John/Tony. With WL?, I came for the laughs, stayed for Tony, and then ended up falling in love with Greg and John.

This is so adorably painful. The only thing I have (and it's a minor one) is Ryan being referred to as Canadian (which I know he is, but unfortunately I always associate that term with Colin >_<)

But awwwwwwww this is so beautiful and everyone behaving as they truly would - Paul as the catalyst, not in a gossipy way, but in a way that shows he cares. Stephen as friend and advisor, and his friendship with John; Tony's chaotic mindset and his apparent inability to be alone, which comes across without being said.

It is utter love :D

*squee* Yay, you liked it! :D I'm really glad it all came across well. Apart from the Canadian thing - blame Clive, for somehow getting it stuck in my mind that Ryan is Canadian. Or blame my mind. O.o

No, Clive does sometimes refer to Ryan as Canadian or part-Canadian. Very confusing, naughty Clive.
