NEWS is gone..

I wanted to not believe it... i thought there was still a chance till it was officially announced on Johnny's web.
and then there it was, a single button, and in the profile page, NEWS became 4 people only

You have no idea how happy I am I got to see them live, all 6 of them, at least onc ein my life! Back then I also thought "This might be the last time". It's really too sad... Although not too unexpected.

Although I can understand Ryo's decision, and I think he's thought about it for a long time, I'm still not sure about Yamapi. Apparantly going solo for him is much more important, he doesn't want to be hold back (?) by a group. It also sort of seems like his recent solo tour was like a "test" to see if he could make it on his own.
I'm still kind of mad at him, especially him, for doing this. He's said to the fins more than once "Wait for us, we'll definitly come back!", "Don't worry, my solo doesn't mean I'm leaving NEWS, I love NEWS" and "We'll never betray you". That sort of pisses me off a bit. It's disappointing.

Maybe Ryo has been thinking about it for a longer time and Pi thought "If Ryo is leaving, then why should I stay?", or something.

Other than that I feel kind of bad for the other members. Especially like Shige, and then Koyama. Tegomass is still Tegomass. Good thing Shige went to a university, you know just in case. NEWS will still exist but they'll never be able to reach as high. I will still keep and eye on them (mostly Shige and Koyama), but I won't follow them as I used too, probably.

I'm also really sad that we won't be able to see Pi and Ryo interact with eachother anymore. At least they are good friends outside of work.

Still really sad though. It's horrible.
But I hope they will indeed have bright future, and "god" forbid anything like this happens to Kanjani8!

I'm kinda mad at Pi too, and I think this is all because of him. And yes!! He had promised us on so many occasions that there would continue to be News! And now this...
Indeed Pi must really want to drop the group so that nothing is tying him back on his solo career, he might be encouraged by how well Jin seems to be doing so he wanted that too. He had once mentioned that as a group he couldn't do those difficult dance moves that he liked... So now he can dance all he wants. (｡-_-｡)
I think Ryo just followed because Pi was leaving, in the company's point of view News wouldnt really be able to continue without Pi anyway, and they didn't want Pi to appear as a traitor, so Ryo had to leave as well, although I do believe that in the back of Ryo's mind the schedule problem was a problem, but he had managed so well when both groups were busy so I don't think its really for that that he has to leave now.
As for the rest of News, I still like them but I really don't think this group will ever reach what they had reached once in the past. And more so maybe it'd just be mainly Tegomass ...
It's awful that we won't be able to see Ryopi together anymore... I didn't think we'd have to go thru the same pain as akame fans....
So lucky we got to see their last concert !!!

As Lauren (from the 8vlogs) said, it feels a bit like Jin 2. I agree on this. I know to little yet to truly now of course, but I'm still dissappointed in him. Leaving NEWS may be better for his solo (although NEWS earbed more than his solo works), but his also ditching is own members. I'm sure they have talked about it, but Koyashige probably can't feel all that safe anymore. Pi didn't have problems in the group either, like Jin. There was no tension like that. Although sad for Akame fans I think they knew deep down that their true friendship was over. Jin wasn't happy, it was obvious. That's what makes me quite angry at Pi.

Yeah, and I too wonder "who made the decision first". Ryo has thought about it every now and then, bit then so suddenly, and both him AND Pi? And yes, I guess they thought if Ryo leaves, the Pi leaves too. Or the other way around.
In other words; Ryo's decision has probably hanged in the air much longer than Yamapi's decision.
Overall I'm still dissapointed and until Pi can't give a true explanation (the news is still fresh), my respect for him has faltered.

I dunno the true stuff happening behind so can't really be too sure, but just from their personalities I'm disappointed with Pi.
First of all he's the leader, Jin wasn't the leader and he was always had this irresponsible playish character ppl somehow knew he would just leave kattun the second he suddenly decided , besides he had always made it clear how much he liked the states and wanted to explore his career there. The problem with Pi is he had always made us believe that he was a good leader that wanted the best for the group, but apparently not, seems like he was only thinking about how to break free.
For Ryo, as much as he seems to be the poison tongue and all, he was always content with however excessive work he was bestowed with and more than once he has expressed how blessed he was to be overworked. I dun think he really would consider leaving News just for being overworked, hell News didn't even Have any work. It would just a decision to make the whole thing look better.... That's what I think at least...

That seems legit. Right at the moment the image of Yamapi is egoistic. It's ok to be a bit ego sometimes, but it feels like this might jeopardize the rest of NEWS' future. And so suddenly! I heard rumours that after Jin left Pi felt a bit the same like Jin, like he got influenced? That he was tired of everything, that he was always working and that he also wanted to go solo. But then later he regretted that and realized he was wuite lucky and that he acutally loved his group and it's members.

Ryo always worked hard, definitly overworked himself sometimes, and he doubted himself bit still managed. The people around him, the staff etc. made it possible and worked hard they too.
Pi is like out of the blue. He got the taste from Jin and then just let go. And saying all those things to the fans? That's just mean! If he knew that's cruel towards them. That's why I have lost some respect for him.

Ryo had to make decision at some point in time. I guess it fitted in now.
And they can't have had this loooong hiatus if something like this wasn't in the making. The LIVE!LIVE!LIVE! concert was the goodbye I guess? If they don't throw in some last-goodbye-concert-kind-of-thing.

I don't think there would be any good bye thing. If I remembered right Jin left after kattun had decided on concerts and then they just pulled him out from the plan, as simple as that. So if it's over it's over, they immediately took down Pi and Ryo's pics from news like there could absolutely be no turning back.
Yes Pi is so disappointing. It's almost like the past was a lie, News was just sth for him till he could build a solid base to go solo, and sure News was really for him initially years ago, everything was about him, that makes it even meaner to just leave. Remember back then shige played a prank on koyama ( or vice versa) saying that yamapi was leaving News and koyama cried because he kinda knew that News wouldn't exist without Pi , Pi's selfish decision to leave his bandmates really infuriates me, altho him going on a solo concert really gave us a Hugh clue... I don't get it why they can't just stay like this tho, it's ok that they do nothing, but Leaving !! （ ｉ _ ｉ ）
Ryo is the passive kind of person, so I'm kinda positive this wasn't his idea..
And I'm sorry to say News' songs were much better than Pi's solo songs..

Some people argue that he probably really meant what he said back then, what he said to the fans. That might be true, but he still must've known somehow that he would leave. If not, then this would have been a super fast decision! Right? That's what so far doesn't really add up to me.

My thoughts are that;

Yamapi's solo was a "test" to see if he could make it.

Ryo has just been thinking about it for a long time. Now was the time.

Tegomass has been boosted a lot again so they could be noted and be more popular before NEWS' loss.
More or less noone knows Koyashige in Japan except for the fans + some more. They needed to establish Tegomass more.

FOR ME, in other words:

THIS HAS BEEN PLANNED

Yamapi should have known back then. I can't really think of any excuses for him. As long as he's happy I guess?

Ya I agree , this should have been planned. That's why they've been putting so much emphasis on tegomass and then shige had some stage plays and koyama his news caster . Ryo had tons of work anyway, so only thing left was to test if yamapi really worked as a solo artist, and the results were so encouraging, even without the five his CDs sold well and his concert sold out, so they were ready to separate. I kinda regret that I supported Pi's solo con as well, but I went cos I wanted to support News, too bad it gave a wrong idea...
I dunno how this could have been better explained to us than suddenly giving us this horrifying news and then the next second taking their names down like they never existed.
Maybe if Pi hadn't given us so mcu promises we would have been better prepared for what was coming.
I feel a bit sorry for Ryo actually. If in a way this wasn't his intention, of course he might have thought about choosing one side for a long time, I trusted him that he really did like working in two groups...

Also, Ryo apologized and said he was really sorry. Hell, even Tego did too, but not Yamapi! I'm actually geting angrier and angrier at him. Everyone else seems to be able to forgive Ryo somewhat, but not Yamapi.

That's how I feel too at least, because Ryo gives me the feeling that he actually adores the attention he gets and the previlege of being in two groups , and besides he had always been in Kanjani and News without any problems and the k8 members have all accepted the fact that they had to share Ryo with News so it's so highly unlikely now that Ryo would think that he had to leave because he couldn't manage. I just think it's the most logical reason to give when he has to leave, and yes he couldnt just stay and lead the 4 of them altho I wished he would, but the 6 ppl News was always somewhat in three pairs of two , it was just impossible like that .
I'm beginning to put all the blame on Pi too.
Some leader to leave the group hanging there and their fans so sad and frustrated like this.
Ever since only tegomass had releases and concerts and Pi had solo activities, we should have kinda been warned I guess .....
