Summary: Pi can't get Ryo out of his head, and Ryo had troubles of his own. Jin is a crazy friend and Ueda comes into the scene??

Ueda gives Jin an almost hostile stare, which Jin fortunately misses as he engage with his other group members on a heated chat.
“I think I’ll get a new car.” Koki announced. That started a wild discussion about cars which Ueda purely seemed uninterested in. Nakamaru noticed and sent a concerning look his way. “Are you alright Tatsu?”
Ueda kept his grim look and continued watching Jin, the giggly and all worry free Jin, waving his arms about in the air, talking about sports cars and etcetera.
Ueda was pissed, about the fact that Jin was so cheery while his boyfriend was suffering, Jin probably had no idea about it though, like he always had no idea about anything. Maybe that was the precise reason Ryo got upset, being not understood and all. A certain ambition to take Ryo over for himself has been rolling like a snowball inside his heart since the other night he found Ryo in the park. It was gathering bigger and bigger and looking at Jin now, he really wanted to declare war.
“Jin.” Ueda spoke up all of a sudden, though his light voice was gone unnoticed in the mist of noises. “JIN!” Ueda literally yelled this time, and everyone stopped to look at him, including those from the other table.
“Ueda!” Koki hushed, “You know we’re famous right? Keep your voice down!”
“As if you guys remembered? You should have heard your own voices!” Ueda pronounced angrily.
“Hey, what’s getting to you, PMS?” Jin joked. This only enraged Ueda more.
“I don’t understand how you can sit here like nothing’s happening when the world is crumbling down Jin.”
“Eh? What are you talking about?” Puzzled and still on his teasing tone.
“I should have guessed, you really don’t know about Ryo-kun do you?”
Jin looked even more puzzled, whatever happened to Ryo had no relevance whatsoever to Ueda. “Eh? What about Ryo?” More so, who was Ueda to think he could call Ryo Ryo? Jin was a bit angry himself now.
Ueda stood up and gave Jin a despising glare, like it was useless to explain, and left the coffee shop in exasperation. The other KAT-TUN almost gasped in shock.
Jin was about to say anything to soothe his members when Yamapi came into the scene, “PI!!!!” Jin screamed when Yamashita stepped into the shop in a beanie and shades, apparently trying to avoid anybody from recognizing him, thanks to Jin, everybody was looking his way now.
Pi scurried to Jin’s swiftly with his head dunk low. “Jeez Jin.” Pi whispered “what was the screaming about!?”
“What happened to Ryo-chan?” Jin asked, “What does Ueda know and I don’t?”
Upon hearing Ryo’s name, Pi felt his heart beating erratically. It was a while since he’s seen Ryo, actually, a very long time, last was when Ryo was almost dying in the hospital. Though in Pi’s mind, he’s been seeing him every day, it was all his imaginations. Was Ryo still lying in the hospital, in more critical condition now? Cold sweat started forming round Pi’s temples.
“… Is Ryo alright? I thought he was getting better already…” Pi’s voice was broken and trembling as he sat on the seat previously occupied by Ueda. He was really sorry that he didn’t go back to visit Ryo, he stubbornly thought that he shouldn’t be bothering Jin and Ryo, even though Jin had made it pretty clear that his relationship with Ryo was just a joke. Why did Pi feel so embarrassed to approach Ryo and show him he cared? Now he’d regret all his life. He felt his heart clenching in pain.
“I think Ryo is all right, Ueda is the one not alright here.” Jin stated.
Pi was confused, “Where is Ryo?” Maybe he ought to take matters on his own hands.
Jin rolled his eyes, clearly indicating that he had no idea. “Does Ueda know something that I don’t?” Jin voice was softer this time, like he was suddenly weary of some omen.
Ryo had finally found himself a job, three jobs to be exact, “Great..” he thought to himself, “soon I’d earn enough money to get a ticket back home.”
Since whenever Ryo had forgotten already, but his goal had already changed from aiming to get his own place to move out to aiming to go back to America. He was tired of Tokyo, even though he was Japanese, he felt he couldn’t fit in, everything was too weird, he felt like an unwelcomed stranger, worse he was having nightmares every single night he felt like he had barely slept at all. His body felt detached from his mind.
His morning started from six at Starbuck’s in the busy business district of Shiodome during the busiest morning hours. In the afternoon he’d be stacking books in a bookstore in Shibuya and from evening he’d be working in the roadside constructions. Ryo was glad there was something to occupy his every minute from six to twelve.
“You know Pi, I haven’t seen Ryo-chan for a lonnnng time.” Jin whined.
Pi was busy in preparing his new album and concert he didn’t have much time to think about anything otherwise. Though every now and then it was hard to not think about Ryo, he missed him for no specific reason, he just wanted to look into those deep dark mysterious eyes that were full of emotions and hear those sarcastic comments once again. It was a queer feeling, it was like when he had this crush on his classmate in highschool, that girl was mesmerizing but all Pi could do was keep himself busy so he could forget about her. Maybe he had always been a coward.
“PI! Did you hear me?” Jin snapped.
“Look Jin, I don’t know, you live with him right? How would I know.” Pi felt sorry he said that almost immediately as it left his mouth.
Jin pouted. “I thought you liked him, that’s why. Never mind then.” Jin turned to leave and Pi really wanted to grab him and stop him there and then.
“Wait Jin, tell me what I can do.” Pi mumbled.
Jin turned on a big smile. “Let’s hold a party tonight at my place!”
The KAT-TUN gang and Pi gathered at Jin’s place that night. Koyama insisted on tagging along for reasons he refused to tell Pi. “I’m just curious.” Koyama smiled slyly.
They were having so much fun drinking and chatting not much people noticed Ryo was absent. Ueda was pacing up and down however waiting for Ryo to return and Pi was crouching at the corner of the couch slowly sipping on his first can of beer, ever so slowly to make sure he wouldn’t get drunk.
The door clicked and all voices quiet down to focus on the door. A certain kind of tension was building in the room. Ryo peeked in the door sensing the eerie atmosphere. All eyes laid on him as he entered.
“…Hi?” Ryo bowed. Why was everyone looking at him like he came from outer space. Ryo felt uneasy all over.
“You lost weight.” Ueda said worryingly, Ryo looked tired and thin, his thin face made his eyes look darker and deeper than ever. Pi couldn’t help but notice how Ryo had changed too, he looked so weak it felt like he would just fall and crumble to pieces.
Ryo rolled his eyes and bit his lips, then tried to break a small smile. “I have to get some things done, have fun guys.” He headed for the bedroom without turning his head back.
Everyone fell silent again, the happy boy they had first got to known seemed much more different today. Indeed, something was wrong with Ryo and Jin had failed to notice.
“See? I told you.” Ueda exclaimed. “Look at him, he looks like he was starved!”
Jin looked down on the ground feeling a bit ashamed himself, how did Ryo come to look so awful and he didn’t notice at all.
