school has started

to adam: school has started. i'm updating more often now.

okay. this really sucks. i just typed a huge paragraph of update...and now it has suddenly disappeared. dumb computer. oh well. i'll try it again.

so...i have finally moved on campus. my roomate has yet to move in (she was waiting until the elevator got fixed) but i believe she'll be moving in tomorrow. i finished working 8 hour days at the library...and consequently my paycheck will be diminishing greatly. i did early experience for student teaching this spring (it's when all the student teachers have to spend the entire first week in the perspective classroom to see what those first few critical days are like). my brother moved to las vegas where he is teaching a 4th grade class at a magnet school. i plan on heading that way a year from now to join him and the rest of the teaching brigade out there. classes started on wednesday: corrective reading, teaching social studies, teaching art and music, measurement and evaluation, and of course...the dreaded COR 401. the seniors topic this year...necrophobia (aka: the fear of death). i know. it's a morbid topic. it wasn't my personal choice...but i think it will be interesting nonetheless. let's see...what else is new. oh. i have a new job in the library. i know longer have any scheduled hours. instead, they've put me in the back working with all of the inter-library loan stuff. so basically, as long as i get my job done they don't care when i work. which is pretty nice cuz i can come in anytime i want. morning or late at night. also i have my own desk and computer in the back. sweet. oh. i got a digi for my birthday..although it hasn't actually happened yet. and a nice one too (fujifilm finepix A340). this weekend was the COR 401 retreat. and i had a lot of fun with denis, becca, laura, emma, dawn and others. it was long...with a bunch of meetings...but fun too. on the busride back it was dark out. so dawn pulls out her flashlight and we told each other ghost stories...that were really more humorous than scary. (yeah. we're seniors in college.) speaking of...i cannot believe that it is my last year of college. seriously...where has it all gone to? it seems just yesterday that i myself was a freshmen wide-eyed and wondering. and now i'm at the end. i'm in the final stretch. i mean. after this year i have to go face the real world. whatever. okay. i guess i should stop typing now and move on to doing my paper (yes. i already have a paper to do). it won't be hard and it won't take long. it's just a matter of sitting down and doing it. and since i'm already sitting down...and obviously in the mood to type...i might as well do it now and get it done. alright skids. c ya on the flipside.
