some stuff

so my canoeing adventure was totally awesome. for may term i took a canoeing class for my last activity credit. it was half disaster, half the most fun i've ever had. i laughed heartily and almost tipped from laughing so hard. the first day we went out we went up a tributary to bond county lake. we had to portage over huge trees and a ginormous beaver dam. we saw snakes, spiders and blue heron all over the place. it was so beautiful and peaceful and if i had a canoe and a partner, i'd go out everyday of my life. yeah. it was that radical (i don't know...i picked it up somewhere). anyway. work has been going quite well. you wouldn't think i could find stuff to occupy myself for 40 hours working in a library...but there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff that i'm learning and basically being put in charge of. so that's pretty sweet. and i think that they are going to give me a job that i'll be able to do at nights even while i student teach in the spring.

this morning i woke up and i had to mow the yard to the apartment. why the blasted landlords don't do it is beyond me, but i did it nonetheless. it was pretty fun and easier than i thought it was going to be. (no i've never mowed before...go ahead and poke some fun). i did rip off all the skin in between my thumb and my pointer finger on my right hand...and that's kind of painful. i also cleaned the apartment which needed it. and i did dishes and ironed and changed my sheets and i'm doing laundry tonight. i'm just your regular little home-maker. (o shoot me now). but seriously, although my career aspirations go beyond being a home-maker and a stay @ home mom...i do like the independence of taking care of myself (if that makes any sense). i like the responsibility of doing it all on my own and i especially love cooking for other people. so if you're ever hungry and nearby...just let me know and i'll bake you a feast! :)
