Shannon has to admit she doesn’t blame Sayid for not trusting her, after what Boone said. And she’s not proud of what went on before, but it had seemed the only way at the time.
And she’s wondered if she can trust him, too. If they weren’t both stuck there for who knew how long, for all Shannon knows Sayid might leave as soon as he gets what he wants. Why shouldn’t he? He’d be no different from every other guy Shannon’s ever known.
But now he’s told her he loves and believes in her, and Shannon thinks she’s found the one man who will care after all.
