So there was a Valentine's Day challenge over at 1_million_words, to pick a number for a prompt. I picked 5 and 2, for my anniversary, and I got "my other half" (fic 1 - OUAT, Regina) and "I'm completely devoted to you" (fic 2, Riverdale, Jughead).
Although she never regrets her decision to remain with Henry in the Enchanted Forest rather than return to Storybrooke with Hook and Emma, Regina has to admit she is relieved that the other half of her, and the other version of Robin, are in the wish realm rather than this one.
She had given the other Regina (it feels wrong, now, to call her the Evil Queen, since both their hearts now held half the goodness of Regina’s and half the wickedness of the other) her blessing to start the life with Robin that was never going to be hers, and she truly hopes that they are making it work, building the life together that she had once dreamed of with her Robin.
She’s happy that they get to have that future together in the wish realm, rather than potentially parted as Henry and Jacinda have been in Hyperion Heights.
But Regina has to acknowledge to herself that she’s also relieved that she doesn’t have to stand on the sidelines and watch their future happen.
He’d actually believed Betty when she claimed to be completely devoted to him.
Jughead could overlook her kiss with Archie, just as Veronica had done. It had taken place while Betty and Jughead weren’t together, it sounded like something that had happened in an emotional moment, and it wasn’t as though he hadn’t done the same thing himself with Toni.
But he’d told Betty about Toni, whereas she had flat out lied. And now here was Sweet Pea showing him Betty on webcam, for who knew what kind of perverts, and Jughead wondered just what else she was keeping from him.
