When Thea first found out that Malcolm Merlyn was her real father, all she wanted to do was call Robert Queen, hear him tell her that it wasn't true, he was her father after all.
Yet when Slade Wilson's goons set upon her at the station, Malcolm was the one able to get her out of that. He could train her, show her how to defend herself, he could help stop that happening again.

It had taken time for Gideon to respond to Sara's command; the ship had been Rip's, and Gideon was initially reluctant to embrace a new captain.
Yet Gideon now accepted her command, and all ran smoothly for a while.
Until Rip returned to the Waverider, under the influence of the Legends of Doom, and even knowing Sara, as captain, would have given contradictory orders, and the team accepted Sara better as their leader, Gideon was powerless to resist Rip's overrides.

Part of Archie wants to hang up on Veronica when she's calling him, drunk, saying she misses him and she was upset when she'd seen him with Betty earlier, she wants to go back to how things were before.
"We can't go back, Veronica," Archie begins, "because I told you I loved you, you didn't feel the same, I don't know how we can go back from that."
He knows Betty's moved on from the time when she declared her feelings for him at the start of the school year, but she'd been brave enough to say it at the time, and maybe that's what he needs.

After a swimming class when Coach Lahey had been particularly hard on them all, Jackson had asked Isaac how he put up with his father at home, and for one moment he wonders what it would be like to finally confide in someone, to tell these guys what his homelife is really like.
But then Matt catches his eye across the room, and he remembers how their friendship had ended and how he'd eventually become convinced his father had a hand in that.
Isaac should have spoken out about his father back then, now he looks at Matt and realises it is too late for them.

Butch didn't understand what had been going on around him; why did everyone around him call him Solomon Grundy? That was a shit poem for kids, everyone knew it, it was nothing to do with him.
But Tabitha Galavan had called him by his name, Butch; she had broken through that Grundy crap, she'd never given up on him, and thanks to her, Butch Gilzean was back.

In all honesty, it doesn't seem very different from Winn's own universe. But being with Cisco, meeting him in the flesh at last after months of chatting...that's exactly how he imagined it.

Snart shouts out names in his sleep sometimes; his father's, Eobard Thawne, Damien Darhk.
Iris is there when he wakes up, to tell him it's all just a bad dream, none of those people are coming back for him.
One day, he'll finally believe her, stop having the nightmares, and the only name he screams out in bed will be hers.
For dreams_of_spike, Supernatural, Sam/Lucifer - Sam's imagined what he'd do if this day ever came: Lucifer weak and practically human and delivered right into his hands...
It's hard for Sam right now to see this man in front of him as Lucifer, who had haunted his nightmares for so long. This creature, rejected by his son, deprived of his powers...the woman who'd compared him to her ex-husband in the street was right: he wasn't Lucifer.
It would be so easy for Sam to kill him right now; weakened, powerless, this was exactly what he had hoped for, but now Sam wonders if leaving him like this is a better revenge.

It seemed crazy: this was Alec, after all, his best friend, his parabatai, they had been raised as brothers.
Yet even though they both wanted this to happen, suddenly there was this tension that had never existed between them.
"Come here, Alec, let's just do it," Jace said, pulling him close for a kiss, and the ice was broken.
For dreamsofspike, The Vampire Diaries - Damon/Elena - she chains him up to have her way with him
Considering that the last time he'd been in chains, they'd been soaked in vervain, chains wouldn't have been Damon's first choice for something he and Elena could do together.
But he's got her back now, and she's happy, and besides, he's now human so vervain wouldn't affect him that way anyway. So what the hell, let her put the restraints on, it'll take away those memories and make some fun new ones.
For eternal_moonie, Riverdale, Veronica/Sheriff Keller/Archie, something about the time Veronica witnessed Sheriff Keller's Daddyliscious body she thought about a shirtless competiton with her beau Archie.
She's sure Kevin thought something was up that time he walked in when she'd caught his father working out. And she's never going to tell him that yes, she had been admiring his father's body, had found herself comparing him to Archie.
And she realised that if she was thinking of the two in that way, maybe she wasn't ready to say she loved Archie.
