Blood Brothers! This is perfect! And I love how you've drawn the parallels between Ruth and James and James and Emma.

As soon as I saw that episode, the parallels with Blood Brothers immediately leaped out at me, and I knew I wanted to write something based around this theme. King George kind of came out more sympathetic than I've ever seen him on screen, but then the fact that he'd lost the guy he raised as a son wasn't really explored, and of course he's going to feel something.

That was wonderful! As I've said before, I LOVE when minor characters get their own POV in fics, it's such an interesting insight. You even made me feel for Widmore King George. :P

I think that what people sometimes forget with King George is that whatever he's done, he has lost a son and he's grieving. Glad you felt he came across with some sympathy here - I know it's not how he's seen on screen.
