She’d always known that it was never going to work, that if Kate ever did come back James would stay with her because he felt he had to, but would always want Kate deep down.
Yet as the white light flashed, as Juliet detonated the bomb and knew that it was now or never, she understood that she was saying goodbye to her old life, that she would wake up in a reality where she’d never been to the island and had never left Rachel.
And she wouldn’t know James Ford existed.
As Juliet awaited her second chance, she wondered if it really would be better this way.
