Happy Thanksgiving, my fellow Americans!

The Brits don’t celebrate it, they didn’t care what happened to us when they sent us away on the May flower (II! revisited!).

Yeah... As Colin suggested I eat a turkey sandwich, but I’m broke and a vegetarian on top of that so I guess I’ll just tell you guys what I’m thankful for here and then go get a phone card to call my mom and in attempts to wish her a happy thanksgiving make her depressed that I’m walking home in the rain... But I really don’t mind.

Hi, I’m Nick from London and I’m thankful for...

Leaving all my friends and family. It’s allowed me to realize how much I care about all (most) of you. I’m thankful for all the memories I have to make me laugh when I’m bored and all the extravagant stories I have to tell about my life. I’m thankful for the road trips I’ve been on and the mountains I’ve seen and climbed, but literally and figuratively. I’m thankful for the Wimbledon College of Art for expediently accepting my £9,800. I’m thankful to have a clean state and to rein vent myself. If you knew me in high school... did you ever think I’d wear a red hoodie and orange shoes. I’m glad to have lost 35+ pounds and finally feel confident when I look in the mirror. Regrettably I’m thankful for the fat chicks who try to get with me... They frustrate me, but as I lose weight so do they! One day I’ll be there. I’m thankful to be questioning myself constantly and rediscovering my moral views. I’m excited to be exploring my artistic ability and discovering I’m not all talk. I’m thankful for myself for finding myself and realizing how strong and independent I can be. I’m thankful for the people who tell me to not drink so much and tell me to go to the doctors. (ok... I’m gonna stop saying ‘I’m thankful for’ now.) The London transport system, the student bar, the leather bottle, 2-4-1 cocktails at suburban, some of my house mates, my room and my garden. The weather, the idea of layering clothing, getting to wear big jackets, the water cooler in the canteen and the £1 tuna sandwiches I eat for lunch. Although I kinda like the tomato and cheese better. The hostel in the forest, for making me realize there are things to be thankful for everyday. The lecturer who sings in the hallways in the morning... OH, a big one goes out to cous cous! Baked beans, jacket potatoes, CHEESE! Markets, fresh baked breads, IKEA, IKEA blue bags. My studio, my peers, the opportunities this city gives me. Next summer... I don’t know what is going to happen, but I know it’s going to be amazing.

I would go into a long breathed list of all of you, but I’m bound to forget someone and that’d be horrible. I could go on forever about all the small things I love about this city and the things I became thankful for when I left them behind. But mainly I’m thankful to miss you all and I can’t wait to come back and hug every single one of you. I can’t wait to drive a car and eat at a restaurant (it’s been 3 months!)

See, people should be glad I’m here, otherwise I’d make your food get cold.

Thank you guys.

If anyone has any old computer mice... I need them. Send them to me! (Scroll down for the address). Speaking of post... I am very disappointed in the amount of care packs I’ve received. GET ON THAT!
