a jump start in all the right ways...
So yes, I am wildly fannish about Trek at the moment, but the thing is, I had already gotten back into writing mode before I saw the movie. And so it's like the Trek energy has just infused the process and I'm writing all over the place right now.
So I have going:
My Sweet Charity fic for Sal -- (John/Rodney) it's a 9700 words and will probably break 10,000 tonight. I have until July 1 to finish it, but I anticipate bringing it before the deadline.
An untitled John/Rodney fic in which they meet at Stanford back in the day that I'm writing with
hily -- it's at 29,000 words and will probably break 30,000 tonight. We might even finish the first of two alternate endings.
A remix of the Keptverse piece Nancy posted last night -- I'm shifting the POV from Joe to Dylan. It should be done in the next hour or so. Done!
An untitled Kirk/McCoy post ST XI piece -- I've just now started this and I don't know how long it's going to be.
And then there are also ideas floating around in my head -- A follow-up TrekSmut piece to the Kirk/Sulu I wrote for
helens78, a Kirk & female!McCoy piece that may or may not go to the TrekSmut place.
I'm also pondering where to go next with the Vegas AU. Almost forgot about that.
*flails* Usually when this happens it's hard for me to settle and write anything but I seem to be able to jump from two very different versions of John and Rodney to teen-aged Joe and Dylan, to Jim and Bones and a bottle of Saurian brandy.
