Oh yeah, that's so us! or; interesting batch of mail today
Somehow Adventure Out Women got our address and sent us a little card of upcoming events. And while I'm all, "you go, sisters, with your Napa Valley Wine and Wealth Seminar and your snow shoeing group and so on," I'm thinking, weird how there is nothing at all about politics on their site anywhere.
I was probably thinking of that in particular because we got the Stonewall Democrat Club's Voter's Guide in the mail today. While I do my own research and don't vote blindly, their guide, along with that of the Sierra Club, is usually a good place for me to start.
Speaking of politics, almostnever raised an interesting point and has a good suggestion here. Yes, of course we need to take back the White House in '08, but right now the Democrats need to go balls to the wall to take back Congress. We can't wait for two years.
Totally OT from politics, I'd forgotten how much I liked The Motels. Anyone else remember them?
Also got a $5 gift cert from PetSmart because the last time Nancy went in, they didn't have either the food or litter she was looking for. That was a nice little gesture on their parts; I like it when a major company does something--even something tiny--that they don't have to. Of course, I know that it's all about getting our dollar, but you know, unless they drop the products we want, we'd shop there anyway.
