Love this series. I'm surprised Lucius is being as nice as he is, but it'll be interetsing to see how his recent past and his new experiences with Viggo affects him.

Thank you! At this stage I think Lucius is just falling back on good manners; his circumstances may be reduced but he's still a Malfoy and he knows how to keep up apperances. Later on...maybe not so much.

Thank you! Both Lucius and Viggo have a long way to go before they start seeing eye-to-eye, but then that's the point of the whole story. :)

This is simply a joy to read.

Despite the labels many of them bear, only two of the bottles have anything inside of a color that Lucius would classify as "green".

Took me two times through to twig and then I laughed aloud. Nice characterization.

It's interesting to see Lucius so self-reflective here, and even grateful, to a point. I'm curious to see how long that will last once he's feeling stronger and more confident in his new life in the Muggle world.

I'm not a huge HP fan, so was a little unsure of this, but so far it's shaping up intriguingly. I really like the face-off between two such different characters!

Lucius has had a couple of years locked up, so he's had some time to think things over. Also, at this point, he's just being polite.

I'm relieved to see that this is working for someone who's not a big HP fan. One of the things that we decided to do when we wrote this was to concentrate on the two of them and the way they interact. When we get to the last chapters there will be some HP plot stuff, but we're trying to avoid bringing too many of the major HP characters just as we're not going to bring in any of the Lotrips guys except Sean.
