Study shows that women and men choose different comfort food for different reasons. Women need to be "re-educated" to choose better stuff for different reasons.

It's just a stupid little smug article, but it annoys me.

It annoys me too, because if men are doing it as rewards, it's not comfort food, it's reward food which is totally different!!! grrrr...my comfort food changes depending on what I need. Sick, totally Campbells Chicky noodle soup. The kind that passed the chicken over it and maybe have one tiny piece of chicken in it? Yeah, that's what I want when I'm sick because of the memories associated with it. Stupid men and their stupid surveys.

Man! I boggle at the lack of insight into, oh, say, the quite profound cultural reasons that depression and food are linked for many women. Hint: it is not because women are un-"educated".

We don't give a shit if you're depressed, but don't you get fat, you fat slutpig!

Wow... what a flawed study. The big difference seems to me more in how men and women see the word comfort. A better study would have been what foods do people eat as rewards/happy food vs. what they eat when they are depressed.

Way to tweek your findings to imply that women need "re-educating" Mr. Scientist dudes.

*rolls eyes at idiots*

Sounds just like that 'study' that 'proved' bisexuality doesn't exist in men.

Man, the world is succumbing to idiocy. :P:P:P

A sample size under 300 is not worthwhile for drawing these kinds of grand conclusions, IMO.
