I Live!
Sorry for the huge lag in updating.
But it is true. I live!
I am pretty much settled into my apartment in Norfolk, Virginia. Have moved in with Robin, and am currently still dripping from the shower that is just required after you get drenched in sweat whilst fencing. (Yes. My arm hurts like a bitch. But the muscles will get used to the weight of the blade eventually, and it will stop doing that.) Well, this was true back when I started writing this entry a few hours ago. I'm no longer sopping. I'm dry and getting ready for bed.
I've found a lovely synagogue that I adore. The community there is so warm and welcoming that I really feel like I've already been accepted as one of them. And they have a fruit-bearing fig tree out front! It takes seventy years for a fig tree to bear fruit, and to bear fruit of a regular size, that tree's probably more than a hundred years old.
My room actually looks like a room now, finally complete with furniture and everything! (It's so glorious to have a desk and a bed...)
Other than that, life goes on.
And I will actually try to remember to update.
