I'm not sure why people feel the need to relay entire conversations to you when they're trying to tell you one thing.
How it is stated:
...so I went up and asked the clerk to scan it because there were no prices around it and I couldn't find another one like it and he was like "where'd you pick this up" and I was like "on the aisle with blank CDs and headphones" and he scanned it and he was like "did you know this is on clearance for 50% off" and I was like "ohmygawd no are you serious" and he was like "yeah it's only $12.98, would you like it" and I was like "yeah I'll take it"
How it should be stated:
I got this for $12.98, it was on clearance at Target.
