i tried to dig a whole to china when i was younger. i ran into the same problem. then i decided to plant a mango tree. in grade kindergarten or grade one we read this book. yes, i know, suprising. i can't remember the title. it was like dig, or how to get to the other side of the world or china or like lord of the rings or something. but anyway i got furious because of how incorect it was. okay well maybe furious is the wrong word. mildly displeased?well, first it started with one man and a shovel. then he brought in the big guns. this giant drill tank thing. not only could it drill it could with stand tempuratures of up to 5000 degrees celcius or something. well this thing plowed through rock and right through the center of the earth and then came out in the ocean. well his drillmobil could only drill and be hot. very very hot. so he had to drive all the way back to the begining and grab a submarine and then drive his submarine all the way to the ocean. it didn't go in to details. he just had a submarine, what of it? well luckally he did all this in time for lunch in down town china.
there's a book called journey to the centre of the earth. i saw it on wishbone.....the centre of the earth is bizzare. there's also a book called alexander and the terrible horrible no good very bad day, where he wants to dig a hole to australia. whenver im down i say i want to go to australia. but i dont think i could did a hole there, except it might be more on the other side of the world than china is. lets go for lunch in china town.
