Okay, so there's apparently this game called Minecraft. I have not played it, but I've seen stuff around - namely pictures of cool things folks have made. As I understand it you chip away at various minerals and resources in one place to construct other things in other places. That sounds kinda cool, but not really up my alley.
Some of the creations I've seen have been impressive works of art and labour resulting in towering Bender robots, colossal Fruit-Fuckers, a godzilla... okay it appears most of the stuff I actually looked at are giant representations of fictional characters I enjoy. Except Godzilla. He was pretty much actual height.
Then today I learned of
this new thing people are making. This just blows my mind. I mean, I'm no stranger in getting something to happen in a game that the designer was not prepared for. Sometimes that's the draw. But making a computer that stores lines of code by stacking blocks of minerals on top of each other?
