Short summary:
As Voyager gets closer to home, the arrival of unexpected guests turns Chakotay's and Tom's lives upside down and reveal things aren't always what they seem.
Why do I recommend it?
Well, firstly, it's a Chakotay/Paris story, and I'm a sucker for those stories. Secondly, it's a Mpreg story, and I admit my secret vice for loving Mpreg. Thirdly, it's a canon-has-left-the-building AU, one of those where the supposedly good guys turn out to be less than stellar, which is always interesting. Fourthly, it's a bitch!Janeway story, which is how I always found Janeway.
The writing is decent, considering what you otherwise get to read in this constellation, and it's a long story - I like long stories where you can follow the events and bite your nails, guessing what will happen next. Unfortunately, it's still unfinished - hasn't been updated for more than three years, in fact - but it's an interesting read nonetheless.
