Oh, life. Life is good, if somewhat frenetic at the moment. Who told me things would be easy after APs? D: Though B. is mostly to blame for this. (For those who haven't seen my hastily deleted RL posts, B. is a good thing, also.)
More importantly, next weekend, I'm going to be participating in an all-night relay to raise money for cancer research and to honor those who have fought, lost, or survived. It's really amazing, and a great cause, and I'm ridiculously excited about getting to be a part of this.
Relay for Life is an event I heard about first from my driving instructor, of all people: a cancer survivor and really, an inspiring man, involved with volunteer firefighting, cancer research, and local government, among a dozen other things.
I felt small next to him, in a good way. I guess people like him make you realize that you have so much more to give if you turn off your television and computer and mp3 player for awhile. The way I live tends to be small, in comparisan; I'm not an idealist, but I don't want to life a small life.
So that's my spiel, guys- sorry to get so sentimental on you. :) If you'd like to show support,
here is my donation page, and
here's the page for my relay team. And thank you. ♥
