I never want to see another latte again.
While the upside of working at starbucks is free coffee, the downside, or cruel irony if you will, is that you no longer like coffee. At all. Or need coffee, for that matter, because you are exhausted from working all the time.
It happens thusly: the schedule comes out, and I see that I have 4 days off-I rejoice! I skip through fields filled with sunshine and daisies. Suddenly a voice comes from above "Laura, would you like to work on Saturday?", my boss asks. Except for 'ask' is a very deceptive word, as it implies I actually had a choice in the matter. And then slowly, but surely, my days off are wittled down to a mere one.
Last night was a milestone, as Geordie told me he loves me. The real question is, will he love me after Christmas comes and I get him nothing? But honestly, what do you get a guy, besides videogames? He burns all his own music and DVDs, I will rot in hell before I buy him any of his style clothes, and although he is effeminite, Im not sure a gift pack from The Body Shop will do the trick.
