Community Week 1: School Health Nursing (February 12-16, 2007)
My group was assigned to Maximo L. Gatlabayan school in Paenaan, Antipolo. Our school was the farthest among all the other groups, an hour of travel to reach our destination. Though very exhausting, it was fulfilling to extend our helping hands to the school. All in all, we had a total of 5 programs to implement; creating a health records system, renovating the school clinic, dental program, Pediculosis treatment program and BP and wound care health teaching program.
Literally in the mountains. This is what we see everyday when going to our assigned school.
One big slumber party. : )
Assessing 300+ students. One of our program was creating a health records system for the students.
Implementation Program for the Pediculosis Treatment and Dental Health.
Welcome to the Barrio.

Spent our second week in the community. This week was learning to chill and enjoy life in the mountains. Even if we had major problems for Geriatric Health Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing, we took it as a challenge and the result, 2 successful implementation programs.
Note: Pictures and details to follow.
Random insight that just popped in my head: it's scary when your life's plans are starting to reveal its own light. This is real and there's no turning back.
