Christmas Sentiments
So my mom and dad left for San Diego this early morning and how I wish they'd stay till Christmas day. But that's ok, I'm spending it with my relatives and I'm glad my mom came home for the holidays after not seeing her for more than 2 years. And my dad's coming home the day after my birthday. (reminder: my bday's on the 3rd of Jan. :p)
Spent my mom's last night reminiscing about how we love the holiday. Each Christmas comes with a memory. How we spent our very first Christmas here at home; painting a "real" tree white and come the next day at school, having white paint in the strands of our hair. How we bought our fake tree the next year just wake up one morning seeing it all in a mess, turns out our dog tripped it over. How we spent the last two Christmas' without her. And how last year was the saddest among all, one of my Chow Chow, Champoy passed away. And lastly how every year, the whole family would decorate the tree and buy Santa Claus trimmings for our Santa-inspired tree;its a family tradition. Last night, my mom said, "It's complete, there's no space for any new Santas next year."
It's just that Christmas is always my favorite holiday and though it is a lot different this year, it still is. Ü
