Anime, conventions, and chaos

Well, no more playing the dealer at the anime conventions, which is depressing but a relief at the same time. My family wanted me to do the shows, to advertise for the shop, which really didn't help much, so for 18 months I was doing shows, somewhere around 14 total I think, tanking breaks for a few months at a time and doing 1-3 shows a month. Well, St.Louis would of been my last one, but they are booked. It's actually a good thing in a way because while I run a anime shop, I'm more of a comic book/sci fi fan. I watched tons of anime back in the 70's and 80's from Captain Harlock, to Tank Police, to Robot Carnival and had no i9dea what I was watching or even remembering the names until I started watching Cowboy Bebop and really getting back into it. It's different, too cute, almost too weird for my tastes. Granted Ghost in the Shell still rocks, but I have sat in some of the rooms and watched the newer animes like Death Note and One Piece (old dub, not the new one) and really I don't get it.

We are still hitting Anime St. Louis, Cape comic con, and the Louisiana Mechacon as fans. Lol, it's weird, the very shows that I didn't like, the voice actors, who I got to meet and hang out with, got me into a few of them. So if anyone is going to these, and you see a Vash or a Harlock (think old school pirate) then by all means say hi :D
