I was closing up the shop tonight and someone saw a little mouse running by the pool table. Now, my shop is freakin huge. There are parts of it I have never even seen because of the passageways behind the old walls and such. I spray every few weeks, didn't stop this little mouse though. I put some traps out, which it took 5 minutes to get her. I know it was a her, because she was pregnant. I made sure she was dead and tossed her in a plastic bag and in a trash bag.
The problem was that it really bothered me, which is weird. I mean I worked in a funeral home for a while, did a lot of disgusting work for them, and never was bothered. A body doesn't look real at all, maybe that's it, I guess. The mouse, which I had to get rid of, still looked alive. Of course, I got something and poked it this time. I was bit once because I wanted to make sure the mouse was dead.
Oh well, I really need to go buy a shovel, this may sound nuts, but I remember back in New Orleans, burying the mice that were caught in traps. Maybe it's a closure thing, not sure, but I tend to sleep better if I do this.
