3 reasons why I've been off LJ lately
Well it's been awhile. Here's a couple of reasons why I have been so out of the LJ space for awhile.
1. Work - Work has been pretty brutal for the past couple of months. I'm taking a day off finally after getting through a major project that I had to lead. I'm very hopeful that we can win the job. Although, it's been somewhat taxing on my mind and body, I'm glad I'm getting a day at least to do this.
2. Gaming - Gaming wise, been busy with SD Gundam G generation wars. Strategy games like this are like candy to me. So yeah, just having fun with that.
. To quote someone who recently did the same thing, "Achievement Unlocked - I've got a house.". Yep in the last week or two, I managed to close on a house :). It's been hard to save up for the downpayment and get things in order, but it was all worth the time, energy and resources to get to this point. It hasn't been easy though. The last two weeks or so were pretty much filled with working and then packing and moving all at around the same time. Luckily, I managed to get most of the work I need to do prior to the move out last week. As far as the housing process went, it went pretty well. The only snag was that when I closed, I didn't know that the seller was going to sign the paperwork on Monday (and I was signing on Friday). So pretty much it was really the only bad part (I was kind of sad at that point, but not too much) of the process. Then the move was somewhat better (since I had most of my stuff packed earlier in September. So as my Dad keeps telling me, "Preparation is the key stone to success", and thus in this situation (with all these things to do), it really helped out.
Pics and other thoughts on the whole house thing will be coming shortly (just as soon as I get some blinds and mow down the lawn. ^_^ '
