Eyeglasses and Home buying 101....

Jun 11, 2009 21:51

So in the last couple of days, I've managed to take care of work at least for the moment so I can plan out the next couple of months/year. So what have I been up to?

- Eyeglasses - Well for one, I managed to order my eyeglasses. Hope to post up what they look like when I get them. Unfortunately I couldn't get any color contacts :(. So no cosplaying different color eyes if I ever get a chance to do so. I picked more of a mature look for this time around with glasses. I haven't gotten any glasses in the past oh, 6-7 years, so it was time to update them for my age I guess. I must say that there's a lot to choose from and it took me awhile to get something that was somewhat light, somewhat cool and somewhat proportionate to my face. So I look forward to showing to you folks when they arrive. :)

- Home Buying - Well I'm just looking around for information and it was nice to hear a lot of positive things about the process, but also learn a couple of tips and tactics when it came to home buying from other folks (to include one or two real estate agents that apparently I found out through coworkers). So for now at least it's a good start, but I know that this is only the beginning of the process. When do I think I'll be trying to get into one? Well, I'm still planning that aspect out through a timeline and schedule. So depending on circumstances, I may or may not abort cons and what not, if I can help it. Although, it would be nice to have everything happen in a best case scenario (con, then close on house and move in and done.), but hey, it's all up to me on how that goes. So most likely I'm going to try to stay up here in Houston and try not to move too much around. So if anyone would like to provide their experiences and guidance on the whole process, I would really appreciate it.

- Babies and dinner - Well I had a great dinner with one of my family friends and her daughter and let me say, that even though you may feel sad a bit, a baby does brighten your day. So we got to catch up on how things were going, talk about home buying, cons (since she asked me about AZ and doesn't know about much on that subject) and just hanging out with her daughter. So overall a great day for dinner.

Well that's pretty much it. Hope all of you are well. Have a great weekend. :)
