Samsung M70 Laptop
Now this is what I call a desktop replacement. This Samsung offering will be released in October, and will be the first laptop to boast a whopping 19" display (average PC monitors are 17s, mine included) that maxes out on an nVidia-powered 1680x1050 desktop resolution. The fun doesn't end there, however. Not only is it the first 19" display on a "portable", but this sucker actually detaches from the laptop and can be placed onto a dock, effectively turning it into a pseudo-monitor. What's more, you can even use this detached display with another machine, thanks to the dock's DVI interace.
No word on pricing yet, but I think it's safe to assume that it'll be a savings killer. Ah, to have the money to be able to buy stuff like this.
