One-Eyed Kitten Passes in a Day
Before you freak out over the one-eyed cat, please read its story:
Cy, short for Cyclopes, a kitten born with only one eye and no nose, is shown in this photo provided by its owner in Redmond, Oregon, on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005. The kitten, a ragdoll breed, which died after living for one day, was one of two in the litter. Its sibling was born normal and healthy.
Okay, now you can freak out. I feel sorry for it and all, but seriously, it's like it's looking into my soul with that eye. However, despite the fact that this is an Associated Press submission to Yahoo! News, I can't help but think that this is a hoax - the image, after all, was submitted by its owner, who could have l33t Ph0t0sh0p sk1llz for all we know. What do you guys think? On a side note, I'm starting to build quite a formidable "rogue's gallery" here in the Science category - I think one day I'll do a Hall of Fame to honor them.
