It's the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2006 this week in Las Vegas, Nevada, and there's much technology to be had by everyone (a little too much, actually). I'm scouring all over the 'net for cool (or apalling, so I can make fun of them) new toys and tech introduced at the show, so it'll be a rapid-fire blogging bonanza today at Teknolohiya; work issues and ImageShack conking out on me have caused my posting to be remiss, and you all know how I hate being remiss. Thank ye gods for the weekend.
Let's start with this mouse/phone combo by Sony. I don't know. For one thing, I really don't like convergent devices since I feel that they're more jack-of-all-trades than kings of a particular function, which is evident in this device since it neither looks like a decent mouse nor a reasonable phone. I mean sure, you save space and wiring, but how cramped do you think your hand is going to be after using the mouse for a few hours? For another, I think the functionality is contradictory. What if someone calls you through VoIP, asking for a particular item to be sent online? How are you supposed to navigate when your mouse is up against your ear? Nice try Sony, but the boycott continues with crappy stuff like this.
