Found another neat little trick from Hak.5 - this time, about fun during Windows XP installation, which is all of a 45-minute timesink.

Shift + F10 gets you a command prompt while Installing windows. If you are on a network you can even get an IP address with IPCONFIG, and start using tools like FTP and TELNET. Or just sit back and play a nice game of SOL.EXE
To actually start the programs, just type in "start" then the filename of the program you want to run (e.g. "start sol"). Finally something to do without leaving the sanctity of my comfy chair. Yes, I am addicted to my computer, even when it's not doing anything.
