(no subject)
Last night was horrible. I was up till 4am working on documentation for this project and then when I do get to bed I can't get to sleep, then when I do get to sleep (around 5am-ish) I keep waking up every 40mins or so with this freakishly weird dream and it's the same dream every time. I dreamt that I had a bunch of MySQL queries and that *something* was broken and I had to fix it but I couldn't and it wasn't a dream like me being at the PC it was ALL code, nothing but text...a text based dream. Since today was a day off I headed off to class at about 12:30, got there an hour later (yay for the bus) Speaking of the bus there weren't many people there but a couple girls were two seats ahead of me and one was talking loud, not too loud but louder than a normal tone and all of a sudden the bus driver yells "HEY" few seconds pass and he yells at her to stop talking and to be quiet because it's distracting him. I was just like "wooooah" the girl just went completely silent and was just kind of cowering. After a few minutes it seemed like he had thought about what he just did and how it might compramise his job so he was being all nice and apologetic saying how he didn't mean to frighten her, how she could keep talking. It was rather amusing.
I get to class and Jeff had supposedly freaked out yesterday because I never came in (or Joe) BUT I told Jeff on wed's I wouldn't be in on tues but I would be on weds. We get working on it, get some stuff done, half ass our way through the IPTables thing to the point where it works yet has little security. Jeff got hungry so we went out for dinner to Wendy's $3 for two burgers, good deal, yo. We head back and Joe still hasn't arrived. I even left him an IM last night saying I needed such and such info from him for the documentation..did I get it? Nope! I left him an IM saying "you know, it would be really nice if you could come in to class so we can work on this project that's due tonight" did I hear back from him? Nope! But we got it done (sorta) and handed in our documentation on time. Cam was really surprised that we even put his name on the paper, he said were so nice to of done that. If Jeff didn't convince me otherwise I would of left his name off. We figure though that we'll just talk to Mark tomorrow and explain it that we could of got it comepleted more and had more functionality in security / testing if Joe had been actually around and try him make it take some pressure off of us for our project not being so well done as other groups. Unless Joe has a really good explanation (ie: getting hit by a bus) for his abscense and ignoring of IM's then he's gonna be in a lot of trouble :D
So it's about 12 and everyones finishing up their projects and Jeff suggests we all go out for ice cream. A lot of people left though :( but Me, Jeff, Mike, Tony, Tim, and John went to McD's. At first we're all standing around the drive through area looking at the menu in which we then try and order from the drive through window but the guy wasn't allowed to take our orders and hand food out unless we were in a car so we all run back to our cars and race to get in line. After we got our food we all parked and stood around in the parking lot eating and talking about stuff. It was 1:45 by the time we left McD's :D it was a fun night besides the whole project thing.
