First I am gonna say that even though I KNEW Mead was going to put Rose and Dimitri together, the circumstances just about killed me. It fit to Rose in no way. Really. I think everything dragged a little bit, 400 pages would have been enough. If she wanted the Keepers in the spin off, she could have explained about them then. Also, Joshua, unnecessary. AND TOO MUCH DIMITRI. Yeah, even though I like Adrian tons better I do like Dimitri, too. There is something alluring about him. But I did not want to read an entire book simply about Dimitri. It was supposed to wrap the story up. I suspected Lissa would be Queen, but ... I can't put the finger on it but something wasn't right. Maybe it's that comment of ... i forgot, but Rose remembers it something like: "Send Jill away." I can see Lissa do that. I've grown to dislike her anyway. So yeah. Actually, even though the writing itself was superb, I just about hated the plot. Except for the murderer. I had NO clue after reading SB and I think it was a believable twist to have Tasha do it. Sucks for Christian though.
To your points about the spin-off: 1.) Ugh. Sydney. I never liked her from the start xD The alchemists in general kind of annoyed me. 2.) Aw, Jill. I like her (maybe because she shares my name :§ ). I think she'll have a hard time ahead of her, what with the ice cold behaviour between her and Lissa. Also, she'll be mixed up in the politics of court A LOT. Maybe an atempt at assassination? 3.) Hm, yes I'd be interested in that :) 4.) OH GOD PLEASE YESSSS!!! The world needs more Adrian, with the sucky ending he got. 5.) I never particularly cared about Mia, mainly because she was so mean in the beginning. But I guess it'd be nice to hear more of her. 6.) I have two guesses: Abe or Mikhail/Sonya. I think that'd be interesting ^^
Naww, I'm sorry you didn't like the plot. I have to say I love Dimitri so you can imagine I'd be alright with a whole book only dedicated to him. LOL So I can't really agree on that, but I understand your point. If LAST SACRIFICE was all about Adrian with little Dimitri, I'd have hated it. :P
About Lissa and the "Send Jill away" comment. I totally agree. I saw something there, a foreshadowing to something but I can't really put my finger on it! Grr
Also: Keepers/Joshua = Unnecessary. WORD.
1) Naww but Sydney was awesome in this book, I mean she saved the day more than once! She's strong and at the same time she has enough empathy to consider other people's feelings. I don't know, I adore her. ♥
2) Don't take me wrong, I like Jill. But she is kind of... boring. I'd rather read about other characters before her. Although her plot could be very interesting, though!
