Man I thought I posted on this once I got back from Turkey. Guess not. 8( Still alive!!!
Ohhh it was great being in a sunny country for once! Whenever the plane landed they were like "right now local time it's 4am, temperature 28 degrees celcius" and we were like GOG DAMNNNNN because it isn't even that warm during a hot summer DAY in Northern Ireland. And then during the day it was 37 degrees and we all melted, the end got pretty thoroughly tanned. I bet it's only gonna last a few weeks though. The weather's been complete balls since we got home... not like we expected anything else 8U
It's amazing how much you get for your money over there though - you can feed three people with a couple of beers thrown into the mix for about £15 each and that is crazy. I'm not sure if it's the fact that things in Turkey are cheap or the cost of living in the UK is just more expensive. The markets were fun and full of fakes and "genuine fake watches" and enough t-shirts to clothe the nation. There were also loads of bats everywhere which was really neat because it meant they were having a mosquito snack whenever they were around 8]] Buuut of course it's good to be back home where everything is expensive and the fruit tastes awful and th weather sucks. Yes. .....I miss home eventually
I started really getting back into Animal Crossing again for some reason a while before I left for Turkey. I didn't like City Folk as much as Wild World but I kinda ended up playing it addictively anyway - I finally caught a tarantula yesterday and an arowana today! So I have only one more April fish (irony lolol) to get before gold rodddd. Bugs are a different matter, I'm still missing loads. 8| It's interesting seeing the amount of difference feng shui makes in your game though - I have both red and green going on and it's given me loads of neat stuff. More rare items showing up in Nook's (I have both the silver rod and net now! 8D) as well as Nook spotlights (the throne showed up yesterday, and after buying it I rocketed from Bronze rank to Gold rank and it's like sdgsgshgs conisdering how long I've been stuck at bronze lol). I also finally started to work towards the town fund and got the fountain. I got the gold axe from it on my third try (wat) and I got the silver axe yesterday so uh
that's it finished now I guess, fountain fun is over
and I voted for the lighthouse and it should be coming soooon! Only thing is apparently I need more trees. I have loads of places the game won't LET me plant trees though so.... idk 8<
I think I've mostly gotten the hang of TF2 now since going online - I'm still dying and blowing myself up a lot but I make up for that with boss engie parties in the intel room on 2fort and actually being helpful to the team and getting some kills+assists in myself. Working away at dem achievements too. weeeeeee
Icon post is definitely in the near future - I think I'm getting a good mix of Pokemon, Homestuck and Persona 3 into it, so I guess that's something to look forward too??? Only thing is I keep finding all this amazing Aigis fanart that I've never seen people icon before so I'm kind of letting my character bias take over there. Whoopth. Now I'm gonna go back to making them and watching some more Sheep in the Big City. It's soooo gooood
