1) Absolutely yes. 2) I am actively involved in a number of different RPGs at the moment, running the gamut of systems. 3) Livejournal/Googledocs, Fandom and Pen and Paper 4) I love being able to immerse myself in a character and really get into their personality and motivations. It gives me the opportunity to be something I can't be in real life (like a Mecha pilot ace, for example) 5) I really hate getting cornered by the socially inept who want to tell me all about their Big Dumb Barbarian and the girl he dorks. 6) Yes. I hate it when people assume that because I'm a roleplayer, I don't have a fulfilling real life, or that I'm a basement dweller that doesn't shower. 7) I was introduced to roleplaying at age 7 by my (male) best friend, who started gaming with some of his other friends, and wanted to get his best friend into it as well, so we could do it together. It was presented to me as nothing more than a natural extension of the make believe we'd been playing for so many years, just that this one didn't involve playing with action figures, or running around the woods with sticks and twigs. 8) n/a 9) I have two: High Fantasy or Space Opera styles. 10) If I was a first time roleplayer, I'd want a one-shot that could develop into a full campaign. A one-shot allows me to get the general flavour of many aspects of the game, while the possibility to continue allows me to keep my character if it turns out to be one I like, and not to feel guilty if I don't want to continue playing (at all, or that character, specifically). 11) Treat me as a person, not an oddity. Keep the sexism to yourself, and don't fawn over me. Teach me, the same way you'd have taught anyone else in your game group, regardless of whether they came with boobs or not. 12) n/a
