Crave Biscuits

Migraine today, and a screwup at the pharmacy, which meant I had to beg and plead for one prescription to be filled. I had to leave without the other two. On the other hand, Kate found me a two-volume ørdbog (dictionary) when we went to pick up her bike. Cheap! Very cheap! And full-sized, which is better than anything UW has. Bastards. Apparently good Danish-learning textbooks don't even exist though. My professor looked, hard. But the books I got! They're shiny and red and clothbound!

I also (wickedly) picked up a book on design layout and another one on calligraphy.

And now, what you've all been waiting for, right? The biscuits.

We went to brunch yesterday and I have finally, after years of searching (I'm not even remotely kidding here), found good biscuits in Seattle. They're not scones, and they're not mealy and soft and crumbly--those are the two main ways Seattleites fuck up biscuits. They were wonderful, sheerly wonderful and oh man I chowed down. We found them at Crave. I ordered them with the gravy on the side (ewww sausage!), but I did dip a corner in the gravy to taste, and if you like sausage I can see that it might be very good gravy indeed.
