VOTED!!! And a thought on Gay Marriage
I voted today. The line was *very* long, but it moved quickly. Everyone was very upbeat and cheerful, which leads me to believe they were mostly Democrats. ;-)
I'm sitting here listening to Hardball and they were just talking about SCOTUS and that if McCain were elected, SCOTUS would swing more conservative and be more likely to relegate more things to the states rather than the federal government.
Which made me think of the Defense of Marriage Act. Um. Gee. Under the conservative mindset, marriage is NOT a federal issue. Marriage is a state issue. So... under a conservative court, it should be thrown out, which would then require states to acknowledge a gay marriage from another state.
