Anti-discrimination bill in the House

Yeah, yeah, what can I say? I can't keep politics out of my hobbies. But this is too important to not spread the word.

Yes, I agree we should end discrimination based on sexual orientation.

"Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank has introduced legislation (H.R. 3685)that would prohibit "employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation". Under the legislation, it would be against the law to fire, "refuse to hire", or engage in any type of discrimination against an employee based on their "actual or perceived sexual orientation". The law would apply not only to employers, but to organizations such as labor unions and employment agencies as well."

While there is some question about how effective these kinds of internet mail campaigns are, I can't help but think they're better than nothing. Even *better* would be to send snail mail (in addition, not just instead of) to your representatives and let them know you want to see the end of bigotry and discrimination in this country. If you need your representative's address, you can get it at the House of Representatives website.
