Insomnia and images and words, oh, my!
So, I'm up before 5:00 AM because I woke up at 2:00 AM and haven't been able to go back to sleep. That's a whole 2 hours. When I crash, it's not going to be pretty.
So, I thinks to myself, "Self? It's quiet and you're alone and you can't do anything since the kid's sleeping and you'd wake her up, why not write?" What a great idea. See, I've had these lovely images in my head lately. Um... for some values of "lovely". Lovely in the dramatic sense, or the h/c sense, not as in pretty except of course that some characters do look lovely in blood.
But I digress.
The problem is, I'm having a *hell* of a time getting them from my head onto the page. It's like I don't have enough cpu time available to run the graphics program *and* the word processor at the same time, so I can't look at the image while I translate it into words.
Sometimes I hate my brain.
