Gnats have just started showing up at work. I wonder if my boss will let me put out glasses of Amaretto... Probably not a good idea. We already have problems with some of the guys showing up drunk. Or just flat out drinking on the job. It's sad, really.

Y'know, I'm not sure, but grabbing this up and downing it might just put someone off drinking completely. :-)

It hit me the other day that vanilla extract might work, too.

Sure wish that worked for mosquitoes! We hates them, we do.

I haven't been all that bothered with mosquitoes yet. I wonder if we have more geckos over here or something.

Or maybe our evil plan to ship all mosquitoes *outside* the loop is now working. :-) (You live what, five miles from me? Maybe? :-)

All I have in the house is Frangelico...I wonder if gnats like hazelnut?

Probably. :-) The other liqueurs I have on hand are Kahlua and Godiva Dark Chocolate. Amaretto's sweeter than both of those. *shrug* Give it a shot.

Think of it as leaving them as a warning to others of their kind. *eg*

I wonder if it works with fruit flies...

The best thing about fruit flies that I've seen is to get rid of whatever they're feeding on and they vanish in about three days. I think that's the extent of their life cycle.

Sadly, rotten fruit seems to have a tropism for places humans can't see. :-)

That's so disgusting, but I bet it's really satisfying.

Very disgusting.

*VERY* satisfying. ;-):-)

I'll probably dump it later and start fresh to see if there are any stragglers. I'm not seeing any, but that doesn't mean there aren't a few left.

Always glad to help, especially when it's something that doesn't require spraying vast amounts of poisonous chemicals into the air. ;-)
