Couples Sue US Over Same Sex Benefits
We knew this was coming, but now it's here. 15 same sex couples in Massachusetts are suing the government for things like the right to receive federal spousal death benefits and the right to file their taxes as "married filing jointly". I just hope it doesn't drag out for years on end. My biggest beef with the Clinton administration was its stance on gay rights. DOMA and DADT (even though that was slightly better than what went on before) were cop outs.
