If anyone is interested in re-reading my old unfinished-but-passably-wrapped-up fic "Spiders", I'm in a reconciliatory mood (long story) enough to put one foot back in the same space as this fandom, so here goes.
tbh, I was as embarrassed by my own fic as I was by the fandom, and half of my reason for taking it down and flouncing was that I was ashamed that this OMG SERIOUS DRAMA! fic of mine actually had a lot of pacing issues and didn't balance fluff with angst as intended. ...And then recently, someone said they loved it for being "cheesy". Because it is. It is cheesy, melodramatic, at times obviously poorly-plotted, and way more saccharine than intended. And upon re-reading, those are the things I love best about it, and from reading old comments it sounds like it was the same for a lot of you.
So, for any readers who enjoyed the fic, here you go: in the mediafire link at the bottom of this post is a .doc with all 11 chapters and the Christmas flash-forward at the end. And because I've made peace with having written this cheesy lovable little mess, I've included my current username in the byline under the title for easy reference. Feel free to hound me for flouncing. ...And for um, not really finishing this fic. Twice. After promising not to drop it. Twi-you see where this is going.

(Additional note: anyone just wandering over this fic who has an interest and hasn't read or doesn't remember the fic, there are possible rape/abuse triggers present throughout the story as well as some case descriptions on par with what you'd expect from the show, so survivors, take care.
