Whedon Addict
So. Finally finished Buffy. Was, I must admit, somewhat disappointed with the ending. Hopefully the comic series makes up for it somewhat. But I do have to say, Giles talking about the International Phonetic Alphabet symbol for the glottal stop ROCKED MY FUCKING WORLD. Unless they somehow managed to work in a giant-squid plotline, there was no better way to appeal to my sense of geekery.* I <3 the glo?al stop. I <3 it so much.
And now, it is finally time for me to experience Firefly. I sure hope it lives up to the hype.
(P.S. Has anyone been watching Dollhouse? Is it any good? The general consensus seems to be no, but that's based on Internet hearsay. Anyone?)
*The glee I get out of musings like this sometimes makes me regret not going for the full major in linguistics. I am at least pleased to know that such people exist in the world.
