Ah Christmas...that bloody holiday. I like it and hate it all at the same time. I never seem to get my shit together enough to ever get my shopping/card sending done on time. But everyone already knows that, I guess. I'm usually pretty good at keeping my shit together, but not when it comes to buying/making stuff. Never really been my forte. Too scatterbrained, I guess.
Woke up this morning coughing up more lung infection phlegm. It hurt so bad I just wanted to curl up and die a little. I was coughing for almost 15 minutes straight. And that was after I became concious. I have no idea how long I was coughing before I actually woke up. Mom came in to check on me and make sure I was awake which was really nice. Very childish, but when you're sick, it's nice to have your mother looking after you.
Went downstairs and did the whole gift exchanging thing. Annie liked the dvd I got her (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and she got me a clutch thingy(?). I think that's what they're called. It's nifty. I've needed one of those thingies for a while to use while at dressy things due to the fact that motherfuckers don't put pockets in dresses anymore. Have no idea when the next gala thing is that I'll be invited to, but we'll see. At least I have one now.
Got some incredibly dorky pajamas from my mother that I adore. Thermal? Ridiculous amount of elastic around the wrists? HELL YEA, BITCHES. Only improvement I can think of would be if the pants were skintight and had a ridiculous amount of elastic around the ankles. I'm not even kidding. If I didn't like it I wouldn't even have mentioned them.
Also got an iPod, but we all saw that coming. I've been loading music onto for the past 5 hours and it's still only about halfway finished. Oi. iPods are evil, I still maintain that, but I'm too ADD for anything smaller.
And my mother got me some earings. I've had my ears pierced for what? 3 months? And I still haven't been able to afford to get earings for the holes asside from the original piercing studds. Hah! So Mummy-dearest got me some hoops. I'm not used to them, but everyone says they look nice even if I think they look weird.
Annie had a designer Christmas with a Coach wallet and Gucci sunglasses. I have no idea why she wanted either of those things, so out of character, but whatever. And she got a 7.2 megapixel camera that I'm envious of. Ever since a certain someone borrowed mine a few years back, it hasn't worked well. That's why there are never any pictures to be taken unless it's my cellphone. Gotta love eBay Christmasses.
Daddy liked the shirt that read "What part don't you understand about quantum mechanics?" How horribly him. And Mom loved the ornament Annie and I got her.
Went to Gramushka's after that. Forgot my knitting at home so I had absolutely nothing to do there. So I just sat around, listened to The Beatles, and missed a boy. Fell asleep for a good portion of it, mostly while dinner was cooking and Annie and Gram were fadiddling with the computer.
Slept in the car on the way home. Well, that's what I get for staying up until 7:00 this morning talking to Luke. Otherwise just hung out, loaded shit onto the iPod and been knitting while watching Comedy Central and Cartoon Network. But then Luke texted me and called me and that made me happy. He's really sweet.
Perfect Hair Forever's on now. So I'm going to go watch that. In short: I am comletely indifferent to the holidays.
